20, 2012 at 4 p.m.<\/strong> in jacobs believed in me auditorium, featheringill hall. a reception in adams atrium follows the lecture.<\/p>\n<p>fortenberry was appointed executive director of the asee in may 2011. he is a fellow of asee and of the american association for the advancement of science.\u00a0 he was the founding director of the center for the advancement of scholarship on engineering education at the national academy of engineering.<\/p>\n<p>the lecture is the final lecture scheduled to mark the school of engineering\u2019s 125th anniversary in 2011-2012. the school&#8217;s annual distinguished lecture \u2014 the john r. and donna s. hall engineering lecture \u2014 has been expanded into a special series bringing four notable engineering leaders to campus, one each in october, november, january and march.<\/p>\n<p>this event is free and open to the public. find out more information on the <a
