\nin this session, you will learn to identity common pitfalls with powerpoint presentations and how to overcome them.<\/li>\n
\na review of the fundamentals of writing a course description, choosing texts, determining assessment methods, and selecting instructional techniques.<\/li>\n
\nthis workshop will focus on the theories, practices, and strategies that facilitate classroom discussion.<\/li>\n
\na conversation about the challenges of grading, plus practical strategies for making grading easier and more efficient.<\/li>\n
\nin this session, you will learn ways of motivating students to realize the value of a general education.<\/li>\n
\nthis session will focus on developing techniques to guide students through the writing process.<\/li>\n
\nwhat does the science of learning have to teach us about teaching science, engineering, and math?<\/li>\n
\nthis workshop will generate, present and discuss strategies for incorporating texts and primary documents in classroom pedagogy.<\/li>\n
\na discussion of the purpose of teaching portfolios, their role in the job market, and how to go about creating them.<\/li>\n
\nthis workshop will focus on tools and techniques for engaging students in lectures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
