gtfs provide a variety of services for vanderbilt\u2019s graduate, post doc and professional students, including one-on-one consultations<\/strong><\/a> on teaching issues and professional development, syllabus and course design, interpreting and responding to student evaluations, writing teaching statements, and engaging techniques such as discussion leading, lecturing, and using technology in the classroom.\u00a0<\/p>\n

they also create and facilitate teaching assistant orientation<\/strong><\/a>, teaching workshops<\/strong><\/a>, and the annual graduate student teaching event for professional development (gradstep)<\/strong><\/a> conference.\u00a0 in addition, they foster initiatives such as the teaching certificate program<\/strong><\/a>, the teaching-as-research fellows program<\/strong><\/a> and the sustainability and pedagogy<\/strong><\/a> working group.\u00a0<\/p>\n
