we hope you\u2019ve had an interesting and productive summer.\u00a0 we\u2019ve been busy here at the 2022年世界杯中国小组赛积分, preparing for the start of the academic year and saying good-bye to allison pingree, who served as director of the cft for the last 13 years.\u00a0 allison has taken a position as director of professional pedagogy at the harvard kennedy school.\u00a0 we\u2019ll miss her leadership, vision, and passion for the vanderbilt teaching community, but we\u2019re also happy for her as she starts this next part of her life.\u00a0<\/p>\n

as acting director, i\u2019m glad to invite you to participate in our many fall events, including conversations<\/strong><\/a> on student expectations for writing and academic technology, and workshops<\/strong><\/a> on teaching with case studies, presenting with confidence, writing teaching statements, and other topics.<\/p>\n

this fall, we\u2019re also celebrating our 25th anniversary<\/strong><\/a>, with a keynote talk on september 8th by ken bain, founding director of the cft, and a teaching symposium on september 9th in which faculty, students, and staff are invited to discuss the impact on vanderbilt of the changing higher education landscape.<\/p>\n
