phillip ackerman-lieberman knows a lot about economics, the talmud, rabbinic ordination and more. but when he arrived at vanderbilt in 2009, there was something he wasn\u2019t quite ready to handle despite his three master\u2019s degrees and ph.d.<\/p>\n

\u201ci had not been in an undergraduate class in a long time,\u201d ackerman-lieberman explained. \u201coften my graduate classes were held in a faculty member\u2019s office with maybe five other people poring over some ancient text \u2013 very different from the undergraduate classes i needed to teach here at vanderbilt.\u201d <\/a><\/p>\n
