<\/a>these workshops focus on practical, concrete strategies for common teaching tasks, challenges, and opportunities. these sessions draw on research-based best practices from the literature on teaching and learning and help participants consider ways to apply those best practices in their teaching.<\/span><\/p>\n in this workshop, we will address best practices for writing a teaching statement\/philosophy for the academic\u00a0job market. this workshop is open to vanderbilt graduate students & postdocs from across the disciplines\u00a0who want to improve their teaching portfolio materials. all teaching experience levels are welcome.<\/span><\/p>\n note:\u00a0<\/strong>this is an interactive workshop. please come prepared to think, reflect, and discuss in pairs and as a larger group.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n date:<\/strong>\u00a0friday, september 18crafting an effective teaching statement<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n
