""description

using photo modeling, digital reconstruction technology, and research of comparanda, i created a state model of the current condition of the west frieze’s block xi. i then researched and reconstructed the lost or damaged parts as well as the polychromy.

what knowledge or skills did you learn?

i learned how to use several different computer software programs, like agisoft photoscan, zbrush, cloud compare, etc. throughout the project, i also learned how to conduct more in-depth and accurate research.

what made this project interesting for you?

i aspire to be a fine art restorer and/or conservator, so this class definitely taught me how to go through that process of restoring something to its original state in antiquity.
